I am a North Shore girl, born and raised. There is so much on offer on the North Shore, that I feel very grateful to live where I do. We have access to endless hiking trails, we are minutes from local mountains, we are steps to the ocean and we have Park Royal; an indoor/outdoor shopping center that feels more like a village than a mall.
Reason # 1 Why I love Park Royal- The Space!
Recently, I spent an entire day at Park Royal, wandering, dining, shopping and taking advantage of all that this unique shopping centre has to offer. The ability to shop both indoors and outdoors is an experience in and of itself. On rainy winter days, you can duck inside and on hot sunny days, you can let your kids plays in the outdoor fountain while you sip on an iced coffee. It’s the best of both worlds!

Reason #2 Why I Love Park Royal- The Shopping (of course)!
The day started with some shopping at Saks OFF 5th. This is a fairly new addition to the long list of Park Royal stores and if you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend getting in there. I’ve heard a few friends say “I thought OFF 5th was kind of expensive”, so let me assure you that you are going to love the deals you find there. It’s a perfect mix of designer labels and there is something for everyone.
Outfit details: Hunter Boots, Saks OFF 5th hat and Badgley Mischka jacket – all from Saks OFF 5th
I definitely could have spent all day in Saks OFF 5th alone, trying on all the hats and boots and sweaters and jackets galore. The selection is actually quite amazing! I found my outfit of choice- a gorgeous cashmere sweater and the black hat. If you caught my Instagram post the other day about how I’ve never considered myself to be a hat person, this may come as a surprise :P.
There are so many of my favourite stores all right at Park Royal including Aritzia, Zara, Lululemon, Simons, Anthropology, J. Crew, Sage… oh my goodness, the list goes on and there are too many to name, but the full list can be found here!
I found my outfit of choice and we headed out to explore the rest of what Park Royal has on offer.

As you can see, there is a great range in brands that are carried at OFF 5th!
Reason # 3 Why I Love Park Royal- The Restaurants!
Whether you need a quick bite on the go or you’re looking to settle in for a cozy dinner, it’s all right there. From The Keg Steakhouse to the Food Court and everything in between, you can fuel up on a Freshii salad to keep shopping or wind down at the end of a long week with a bowl of pasta and glass of vino at Trattoria.
Can you tell what my go-to’s are?
A newer restaurant to join the ranks at Park Royal and an entirely new experience for me as a whole is Legendary Hot Pot. I don’t know how this was missing from my life.
The meal at Legendary Hot Pot was so much fun and interactive and it’s a dining experience I can’t wait to share with my kids (and everyone I know, actually) because it’s great food and so different from what I would typically seek out. If you haven’t been yet, make a reso and go! (And then message me and tell me how much fun you had :)).
Reason # 4 Why I Love Park Royal- The Special Events!
Park Royal is at the core of the North Shore community. Because it plays such a big role in North and West Vancouver life, Park Royal is constantly hosting events to bring the residents of the North Shore together in celebration. From tree lighting events around the holidays to charity yoga classes to visits with Santa himself, there is always something coming up on their events calendar, so make sure to check it out!
The Urban Barn Santa set-up exclusively at Park Royal South. Bring your kids to visit Santa himself!
How festive does Lindt feel right now? Lindt actually makes their hot chocolate from their chocolates. Mmmm. Dear Santa, if you put some of these in my stocking this year, that would be lovely.
Reason # 5 Why I Love Park Royal- Unique Stores!
There are some amazing stores at Park Royal, as I mentioned above in # 2, but something really cool about Park Royal is that there are also some smaller stand-alone businesses that are unique to Park Royal, like Zing Paperie & Design.
Zing supports all sorts of local artisans with the products they carry. They have everything from handmade soaps to one-of-a-kind readers. Their greeting card selection is beautiful and they are an amazing place to pick up gifts for any occasion!
For me, Park Royal is truly a one-stop-shop! All my needs are covered including grocery stores like Loblaw’s and Whole Foods, any technology I could possibly want at Best Buy, treats and toys for my kids at Toy Jungle… what Park Royal has is a lot of everything and it would be impossible to even name it all.
As we go into the holiday shopping season, cross off everyone on your list in one spot by visiting Park Royal. I love it there, if you can’t already tell! 😉
There are some VERY exciting giveaways currently running on my Instagram ($100 GC) and on the Park Royal website ($250 GC)! Make sure you are following along here: @RealLife.Styled
